Some things you should know about conventional cotton farming...
Conventionally grown cotton occupies only 3% of the world's farmland, but uses 25% of the world's chemical pesticides, many of which are known carcinogens.* Cotton farming is also a major user of toxic herbicides, fungicides and defoliants. During processing, it is subjected to chlorine bleach, heavy metal dyes and formaldehyde resins. Genetically modified cotton now accounts for 75% of conventionally grown cotton.*

Organic cotton farming is a whole different story
In contrast, organically grown cotton represents a sustainable and healthy alternative. Organic cotton is grown using natural and sustainable methods of farming, such as botanical and biological pest control and eco-friendly processing methods. It also results in a healthier environment for the farmers, their families and the people living near the farms.
