Organic Socks and Tights for Children and Babies

For sunny days, or indoor play, there's a whole range of organic cotton socks and tights to be found in the DamTam collection. If your baby is a secret ninja sock shedder, look out for the socks described as sporty (organic socks in white, pink, olive and navy) - they stay on really well.
We have also been assured by a wide selection of teething, toe-chewing babies that these are particularly tasty socks. We're sure that you'll be feeding your baby organic baby foods, so organic baby socks make the perfect between-meals snack. Again, although they're organic cotton, not synthetic, the sporty style of socks are nice and thick and bungy - ideal for sore gums.
For winter babies, we have wonderful biodynamic wool socks, to keep those baked bean toes warm and toasty. Babies are really bad at maintaining their own body temperature and their extremities can get very chilly very fast. For our own winter babies, we dressed them in a sleepsuit and then put a big pair of wool baby socks over the top. Hats are an essential in the cold too - especially for velvety little bald heads.
All the socks and tights you can buy from DamTam are made of organic cotton or an extra warm mix of organic cotton and wool. We dress our bigger girls in organic cotton tights all year round (excellent for avoiding too many grazed knees when you've got girls who love dresses but also love racing around outside). Our boys only get to wear organic cotton and wool tights under their trousers when the weather turns properly chilly.
There. We said it. We dress our boys in tights. It's out in the open. We don't think tights are just for girls - they're for keeping your legs warm.
We must admit that this has not been an easy sell with all the daddies. However most of them come around to the idea when we mention Robin Hood (green tights), Superman (blue tights), Batman (black tights)... in fact, can you think of a superhero who doesn't wear tights? Wonder Woman. And she's a girl. Still, if you're not convinced about boys in tights, we also have adorable organic cotton long johns for boys - cosy and very grown up.
