![]() | Our lovely suppliers Frugi started out life as Cut4Cloth, making organic cotton baby clothes to fit over cotton nappies. They've recently come top in Ethical Consumers "Ethiscore" table for baby clothes. >> Click here to view the Ethical Consumer article in PDF format |
Size guide BIG! We've had a lot of feedback that these clothes are up to a size larger than standard. Our babies have all been great big chunky babies, with cotton nappies around their sizeable bottoms, so we've never had any trouble. If you find that they're really way too big, we will happily exchange them for a smaller size with no quibbling. >> Click here to view our size guide
Suitable for real nappies These clothes are cut wide in the beam to fit around cloth nappy bottoms.
Washing instructions We recommend washing at 30°C (be kind to the planet!). The manufacturer's washing guidelines can be found on the label inside the clothes. If you're in need of some handy tips and tricks for getting baby stains out of clothes at low temperatures, see our Washing Green AND Clean page. Expect up to 5% shrinkage on the first wash, because being organic cotton, the clothes are not chemically treated. The size of these clothes is very generous, so the shrinkage shouldn't be a problem.
Safe for sensitive skin These clothes couldn't be any kinder - as well as the cotton being organic, all the poppers, fastenings and zippers are nickel free.
Where are they from? They're made in India - in a factory with SA8000 certification (Social Accountability International www.sa-intl.org) Workers get fair and fixed wage (i.e. they are not paid per piece). A doctor visits the factory every week, where workers and their families get free treatment. The factory also supports the local tribal school.
Perfectly organic baby clothing It's made of 100% organic cotton and dyed using environmentally friendly dyes. Organic certification from Control Union Certified (previously known as SKAL - www.controlunion.com)
